1.Drones - Answers For Commons Questions
- I got my drone, what now? - Open the box and assemble it. Some of the drones already come assembled and some don't. The drones that are not assembled will come with all tools needed in the box so keep the box. After assembling the drone put batteries in the Remote and connect the drone battery
- How do I connect the drone with the remote? - every drone is different, However in most of them you will just have to turn on the drone then Turn on the remote and move the left stick up and then down. The drone lights will blink fast for a few seconds and when they stop you will know that the remote is connected.
- How Hard is it to fly a drone? - Every drone is different than the other but some of them are easier to fly. If you are looking for an easy drone to fly find a drone with an AUTO HOVER system (can be called also Altitude mode). When the drone has auto hover system you will have to control only the direction you fly and it will hover and balance in the same height you will decide while a drone without auto hover you will have to control the height and the direction you want to go as well.
- How long does it fly? - The hobby drones will fly for 8-10 minutes and some of them will fly a little bit longer (like the b45cw). You always can find a more expensive and professional drone that will fly longer, However, in my opinion, fly time is not the issue because it is possible to buy more batteries and then get more fly time for a much cheaper price.
- How far will it go? - The hobby drones will come with 2.4GHz remote, which means around 500 feet. Even though I don't recommend to fly and test the maximum range because then you can lose your drone so fly a little bit less than the maximum. You always can find a more expensive and professional drone that will fly 1000 feet or even higher.
- Do I need to register my drone? - It is changing all the time. I will recommend go to faa (https://www.faa.gov/) and search there for update information. You might also have to check if your state has special rules for drones.
2.First drone - tips
- Buy a cheap drone - the First drone has the highest chance to get lose or get destroyed
- Look for a drone with Auto Hover system - it is always easier to control on one stick than two at the same time.
- First time fly it in good weather
- Fly it in open space - when you don't have experience with a drone the Trees will be your main enemy
- The B21 is a drone that I recommend to start with.
3.Drones - Commons Problems
- Drone doesn't balance - Restart the drone when it is lay balance on the ground.
- It is not going up
- You may need to charge the battery or get a new battery
- Some hair or dirt stopping your motor/propeller. Clean it before it breaks
- The Propeller / Blade got damaged. Every drone comes with extra parts, replace the broken part with a new one. Make sure you replace the right Propeller because you have left propeller and right propeller.
- The motor got damaged. You will have to open the drone and replace the motor. If you got it in some store ask for a new motor, if not try online. When the motor is broken I recommend just to buy a new drone.
- You have to balance the drone - play with the arrows on the remote
- You replace the wrong propeller. Probably you install right propeller in the left or the opposite.
